This mission dining table and bench will sit beautifully in a bright modern kitchen. The custom natural finish and finlay edge make the table feel light and bright. The racetrack shape makes it perfect for those high traffic areas, and being extendable means you are always ready for visitors. These custom legs give the table a minimalist look and stay nicely out of the way of your chairs, making for a functional everyday table. The table pictured is 30″ x 72″ and seats 4-6 people. With the 2 – 18″ leaves in place you can seat another 4 people. The bench as shown is 48″ long.

At Loewen Design Studios we build each of our dining tables one at a time, just for you. That’s exactly what we did with this one. The table in this picture is off to live a long life in someone’s home, but we’d be happy to build you one like it, or something else if that’d suit you better. Here’s how this table came to be.

The original inspiration for this table was a similar table we’ve built before, but the people who sit around this table now-a-days wanted to make a couple changes. (Here is the listing for the inspiration if you’re curious https://www.etsy.com/listing/1427065301/)
They liked the Finlay edge with the bevel that helps to thin out the look of the table.
They also liked the custom legs, which give the table and benches a modern look.
The shape of the table was good too as a racetrack is easy to walk around
The main change was the wood and the finish. This table is made from Ash wood, a hardwood with a beautiful grain similar to Oak. The custom natural finish brightens the entire table. They also chose to make it an extendable table and to add a bench. All of these details come together for a very different look than the original inspiration.

If you’re curious about timelines, we generally need 3-4 weeks to build and finish your table. Very large sizes or more specialized customization might require a bit longer. All of our prices include shipping. Depending where you live, white glove delivery may be available. We’ll reach out once you place your order to confirm shipping details. Typically shipping requires an additional 1-2 weeks after production.
