Make your small dining space stylish with this apartment dining table and bench. The rectangular pedestal table has rounded corners to make it easy to slide on and off the bench. Both pieces are made of maple which is a very hard wood, creating durable pieces of furniture. This set is finished in espresso which gives the pieces a timeless appeal. The table pictured is 32″ x 47″ and seats 4-6 people.

At Loewen Design Studios we build each of our dining tables one at a time, just for you. That’s exactly what we did with this one. The table in this picture is off to live a long life in someone’s home, but we’d be happy to build you one like it, or something else if that’d suit you better. Here’s how this table came to be.

The original inspiration for this table was a similar tables we’ve built before but the people who sit around this table now-a-days wanted to make a couple changes. (Here is the listing for the inspiration if you’re curious https://www.etsy.com/listing/1459631404/)
They liked the rectangle shape with the Boyer edge – this is a rounded edge that makes it easy for traffic to flow around the table.
They also liked the Jennings base which, as a pedestal, is great for small tables as the base stays out of the way for people sitting at the table.

The main change was the wood and the finish. The original table was made of ash and had a black finish. This one is made of maple and has an espresso finish. This change gives the table a unique look from the original. In addition, our customer was also looking for a bench to go with their table to complete the set.

If you’re curious about timelines, we generally need 3-4 weeks to build and finish your table. Very large sizes or more specialized customization might require a bit longer. All of our prices include shipping. Depending where you live, white glove delivery may be available. We’ll reach out once you place your order to confirm shipping details. Typically shipping requires an additional 1-2 weeks after production.
