The wooden statue depicts the Norse mythology scene of Loki’s punishment, carved from oak. Loki, bound and anguished, is shown lying beneath a serpent, from which venom drips onto his face. His wife, Sigyn, stands by him, holding a bowl to catch the poison, a portrayal of her unwavering loyalty and love. The expressions, finely detailed, capture the torment and devotion in the scene. The oak’s natural grain enhances the texture, merging Norse myth with the artistry of wood carving.

Carved from oak wood, the statue is given a polished finish with a coating of varnish and stain.
