A beautiful example of the iconic Poul Cadovius “Royal” modular shelving system modular in finest rosewood.
The Royal system is both timeless and functional and looks incredible in any modern home.
The Royal system components are to this day sold individually.

Designed by Poul Cadovius for Cado.
Poul Cadovius was a prominent Danish architect and furniture designer known for his pioneering work in modular furniture design, most notably the Royal System. His designs reflect the principles of Danish modernism, with an emphasis on functionality, simplicity, and the use of high-quality materials. This beautiful Royal system wall unit has 6 rosewood shelves attached to 3 wooden rails stained black.
With brass brackets in black.
The shelves and rails can be arranged according to preferences and need.
All original parts.

A fourth wooden rail is included free of charge.
The fourth rail can for example be used to build one tall shelving unit, with two racks on top of each other.

Condition:
In very good vintage condition.
Minor superficial scratches on two shelves.
One corner has a minimal pressure damage, which is hardly noticeable.
The wooden racks and brackets are all in good condition.

The vintage Royal systems are highly sought-after and priced significantly higher elswhere, as seen in the last listing image.

You recognize an original Royal system by the slightly angled ends on the brackets. Also by the holes in the shelves, which are not completely round. The “pins” which the shelves lie on are flat.
