Bed No. 1

Made from all solid 1.5″ and 2″ figured American Black Walnut, this bed is sturdy and guaranteed to last generations.

It is constructed with time-tested mortise and tenon joinery, as well as exposed bridle joints.

The headboard and footboard feature a subtle, but striking bevel that adds another shadow line and dimension to the piece.

Storage can be added in the form of 4 drawers (2 on each side) that suspend from below the bed, but do not go all the way the the floor. This leaves a 3″ gap between the bottom of the drawer and the floor and allows for a less bulky look, while still providing plenty of storage. Dividers can be placed inside upon request to allow for more compartmentalized storage.

FINISH
We use a natural (and food-safe) oil/wax finish to protect and highlight the beauty of the wood so that it can be enjoyed in day-to-day activities by all ages without fear. Any spills can easily be wiped off and, over time, a simple application of oil will revitalize the piece as needed based on personal preference. Yes, it’s designed to be beautiful, but it’s also built to be lived in and a part of your family’s life.

Being a small shop, wait times vary as we strive to complete each piece with the utmost care and attention and we cannot guarantee the speed of the individual delivery services. Our shop lead time is generally 10-12 weeks, but please contact us if you need your order expedited or by a specific date.

ASSEMBLY
This bed is easily assembled in under 5 minutes, using sturdy interlocking hardware to attach the side rails to the headboard and footboard. Slats support the mattress, as well as an adjustable center support leg, leaving no need for a superfluous box spring.
