Classic Modern Bed (Danish Mid Century Modern Style Bed)

Description

This bed is designed by yours truly and hand-built in Long Beach, CA. The bed can be built from walnut (first two pictures), a combination of jatoba and rosewood (second two pictures), cherry (third picture) or any other type of wood you desire. Though often imitated, the design is my own, inspired by a Mid Century/Danish modern aesthetic. All joinery is mortise and tennon- super strong and will last forever!

The bottom of the bed is 8 1/2 inches off the ground, and the top of the headboard is about 39 inches off the ground, and there’s about 13 inches from the top of the slats to the bottom of the headboard* (see note below). The total footprint of a queen is about 65″ wide and 85″ deep. For a king it’s about 81″ wide and 85″ deep.

This bed in walnut or cherry with a standard headboard is $2900 in a queen. For a king, add $150. I can use other woods as well, and I can also make some design modifications upon request- send a convo for more specific information.

*All beds pictured feature the smallest of three headboard options. This option features a 10.5″ headboard with a 15″ gap from platform to headboard. The medium headboard is about 13.5″ tall and leaves about a 12″ gap. The large headboard option is about 15.5″ tall and leaves about a 9.5″ gap.
